What An Unusual Election Year

I'm happy the race for the White House is close, because the local races lack intrigue.

I'm happy the race for the White House is close,  because many of the local races lack intrigue.

Look in Sedgwick County.

District 3 Commissioner Karl Peterjohn will not have a Democratic challenger in the general election.

It's the same for GOP District Attorney candidate Marc Bennett.

Ditto for County Clerk Kelly Arnold and County Treasurer Linda Kizzire.

There are twenty District Court judge positions on the ballot.  One of the twenty is contested.

There are some interesting questions on the ballot,  but I can't remember an election with fewer compelling races on the local and state levels.

What races or issues have caught your attention this political season?
