You may see some new faces on KAKE News. Let me take a minute to introduce them to you.
Lily Wu has joined us as a news reporter. If you've been around Wichita very long you may already be familiar with Lily. She's an East High graduate, and she went to Wichita State University as a Gore Scholarship winner. Lily earned two degrees at WSU, and was named WSU's woman of the year in 2005. Lily also received her Masters of Journalism from the University of Hong Kong.
Lily is also very active in the community, serving on the boards of Visioneering Wichita and the Wichita Asian Association.
Hallie Shulman is joining the KAKEland Weather Team. Hallie comes to Wichita after working at KTEN in Dennison, Texas. Hallie (pronounced Haley) also worked at a station in Jefferson City, Missouri. She'll take over weather duties on the weekend. Hallie grew up in Denver and went to college in Missouri, so frequent drives on I-70 have made her well aware of the landscape and wild weather of Kansas.
Welcome Lily and Hallie to the KAKE News Team.
