We are coming up on an important anniversary at KAKE. Friday, January 28th, marks the 20th anniversary of the premiere of "Good Morning Kansas". So, how are we celebrating? By giving viewers more GMK.
Beginning Monday, January 31st, "Good Morning Kansas" will expand to 2 and a half hours, beginning at 4:30 a.m. Stations across the country are starting their local news earlier in the morning and they are finding there's an audience for it. We had an informal discussion inside the station and were surprised by how many employees have family members who routinely start their days before 5:00 a.m.
One thing that won't change is the cast. Jemelle, Ben and Mike will be there with you, sharing the latest news, weather and fun stuff. By the way, if you want to know more about the history of GMK, just ask Mike. He's been there since day one--January 28, 1991.
