I know it's a tradition for people to get up super early to get the deals on "Black Friday", but seriously, is it worth it? I interviewed a guy who camped out overnight at Target. He arrived at 7:45 pm the night before. Yes, he was the first in line, and yes, he saved $200 on a plasma TV, but really? I'm too tired and cold to be standing out there all night.
People do it though. The line was a mile long. When the doors opened, the shoppers literally ran inside and started grabbing. We didn't have a camera back in the electronics department, but some people told me shoppers were using their carts to push and shove to get those TVs.
I guess it's kind of a rush for many shoppers, but for me, I'll sleep in and check on-line before I stand IN line.
