Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired

Ok, so are any of you sick of being sick? I have been coughing and congested for six weeks now, and it won't go away. Now everyone in the newsroom is coughing, blowing their noses and congested. What is going on? My 5 year old now has it. She is coughing so hard and there's nothing that seems to help. I know, I know it's cold season, but this is ridiculous. I've tried Vick's, cough drops, cough syrup, even sitting in the bathroom with the hot steamy shower on to help loosen up our congestion. Any tricks that you can pass on? I feel helpless!!!!!

I have the crud also!!! Just alot of coughing the 2nd week of the cold. I hope it doesn't last much longer!!

mucinex works great, i have found that even elderberry isnt cutting what ever crud is going around. i have had this congestion for 3 months now ontop of mono. it doesnt matter how much i disinfect or use simple handwashing, it doesnt go away.. so good luck..if htere is a remedy please let me know!!!

I know different medicines work for different people but after taking 2 doses of Mucinex a day and using Nasonex 2 times a day...I am well again. Hope you and your daughter are better by now.

I haven't tried this yet, but I've been told by 2 people that rubbing vicks vapo rub on your feet and putting socks on over top of it will quiet a cough. Let me know if it works.:)

I wish I had a good trick for you but I don't. I have been coughing for 3 weeks now. This is the 1st year I have ever had sinus infection so I am curious how does one know if it is sinus infection or a cold? If I come up with a remedy, I will pass it on. Hope you get better soon.

Posted by: Jon I have found that the drug Mucinex to work very well. Every time I have a cold coming on I start taking it right away and usually cold free within two or three weeks. Other than that I do everything else you listed.
