Since I have four beautiful children I try to keep costs as low as possible, so that we can enjoy spending our money on them. So I sit down and plan out two weeks worth of meals, a menu of sorts. The I figure out just what I need to make those meals, and that is all I buy!! Of course, with the exception of milk, bread, eggs, and the occasional M & M's. Then I know what to fix when I get home from work and I've saved money not buying extras.

We started doing the same thing - making our menu a week ahead and hitting the store once a week, it has cut back on wasted food, and the dreaded question "what should we make for dinner?"

Just because you don't clip coupons any more that does not mean the rest of us don't. Everyone is not as smart as you with your cell phone.

we have been doing this for yrs, It makes it so much easier to shop. you kniw what you need to get cause you already have the meals planned out. Its also a good way to try out new recieps, or new foods. We still at times buy something extra for the kids or for a special snack. And it sure saves on the time you spend at the store, espicially if you visit the same store and know the food isles. and sale items. bargin shop, clip coupons. Some times store will sale whole slats or boxes of items. We bought a cause of canned green beans, diced tomatos and corn bread, it was a bargin as opposed to buing them one can at a time. Theres so many ways to save money and time.
