Bad Drivers Make Me Sick, Literally
I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on this one. I'm not a fan of bad drivers. My Dad always tells me I have road rage, but then again, I think I just don't have very much patience for people who clearly should never have passed their written or driving exam. (I also think my Dad's used to driving in rural Nebraska, where the only issues he may have on the road is once a week meeting a car on a gravel road.) :) Now, back to the issue at hand. I think some drivers need to take it slow, and think about other people on the road. Several times a week, I find myself in the passenger seat, next to a driver I would consider one of these people. Said driver puts the pedal to the metal, cuts people off, takes curves really fast, and definitely has road rage against the drivers who have just been cut off. Often times, I find myself getting sick to my stomach, just being in the same vehicle with a bad driver. I know we live in a rushed world, where everyone is always in a hurry, all the time. Just think about all the accidents that happen because some driver thought it was all about him/herself, and didn't look out for the other person on the road. Take Kellogg for example. Look at how many accidents happen every year on Kellogg, just because people find it necessary to weave in and out, cutting people off, trying to beat another car to the nearest exit. I'm not saying we should all drive like that granny who holds up traffic in her old, slow Buick. I am saying, maybe it's time we all slow down a bit, and realize the roads were built for us all. Be courteous of those on the road next to you. Even more, think about the passenger that needs a brown paper sack each time he/she rides with you. Anyone else agree with me? I'd love to hear your comments! |
