Free Firewood Available At The Zoo

Free firewood is available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays through February in the north parking lot of the Sedgwick County Zoo.
The firewood is a courtesy of the City of Wichita, Sedgwick County Zoo and Westar Energy. The wood is left over from Westar Energy's tree trimming line clearance work.
In addition to the free firewood, customers can also pick up wood chips to use as mulch. No sawing will be allowed on zoo property during pickup.
