The landscape of Greensburg changed
drastically last May 4 when a massive tornado flattened almost
every building in town.

Now the political landscape has changed. Voters Tuesday elected
a new mayor and three new city council members. The newcomers say they plan to continue the work started by their predecessors, and
praised them for what they've done to help rebuild the Kansas town.

Unofficial results show former school board president Bob Dixson
defeating incumbent John Janssen for the mayoral position,
capturing 191 of the votes to Janssen's 59. Mark Trummel, Matt
Christenson and Erica Goodman will fill seats on the five-member
council.

Dixson said he'll work to bring back existing businesses and
attract new ones.
