Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius
is returning to her hometown to campaign for Democratic
presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The Obama campaign says Sebelius will lead a community issues
gathering Wednesday afternoon in a union hall in Cincinnati. Her
father, former Ohio Gov. John Gilligan, also is expected to speak.

Sebelius endorsed Obama before the Kansas caucuses this month,
which he handily won. She won re-election in 2006 in a
Republican-leaning state with nearly 58 percent of the vote. She
has been mentioned among potential running mates for the Illinois
senator if he wins the nomination.

I am sorry, but what is acceptable about our governor leaving her post here to go to another state to rub elbows in hopes of a VP slot? This is just another example of how these politicians are today, thinking they can do just what they please. Did she pay for this little trip out of her own pocket, or is this something that the Kansas taxpayers has had to foot the bill for? Did she fly on a commercial plane or did she take the gubernatorial jet? I sure hope I am not paying for this, as it has nothing to do with the day to day operations of the State of Kansas. But I suppose some people think it is okay to use state property and resources to get ahead personally, which is what this trip to Ohio is about - her, not Kansans. Where is the Kansas Ethics Commission when you need them? I want to know, KAKE. You ought to do a full investigatory report on who paid for this little trip!!!

Anything to get her rump out of Kansas. She's got this state messed up enough. Good riddance.

I'm sorry, guys. What exactly is so pressing in Kansas she can't make a quick jaunt to campaign? From the sounds of your comments, I'm guessing you didn't fault your president in 2004 while he was spending most of his timing campaigning while the country slipped into the proverbial handbasket. Now, I don't know you guys, but appearances would suggest you're just scared, bitter, and LOOKING for something to complain about.

Boy; she really wants to be VP; at least she is not in Kansas

I think we have enough problems in Kansas with out our Gov running to other states to help elect a man that is running on Hope and Change as his major themes for election without giving any details on how he is going to change the world. Mrs. Sebelius needs to worry about Kansas problems and not trying to get Obama the nod for the President.
