Saturday's Kansas GOP Caucus brought the leading candidates to the Sunflower State Friday.

Governor Mike Huckabee crossed the state, making stops in Olathe, Wichita, and Topeka. He also has a 6:00 p.m. appearance scheduled in Garden City. During his Wichita stop Huckabee picked up a bass guitar and jammed with a local band. In his comments to hundreds of supporters, Huckabee said he's still in the race because he believes he can win the GOP nomination.

Senator John McCain made a brief stop in Wichita, speaking to reporters and supporters this afternoon. He also had campaign stops in Virginia and Washington state.

Ron Paul's supporters are meeting at 6 p.m. in Wichita.
The event featuring Paul's son will be held at the Best Western Airport Inn, 6815 W. Kellogg.

GO RON PAUL! Ron Paul on the issue of abortion, "In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094. I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn." Ron Paul served in our military for 5 years and has raised more money from our troops than any other candidate, republican or democrat, COMBINED. Ron Paul supports our troops and they support Ron Paul. Dr. Paul has been named the Taxpayers Best Friend in Congress and has NEVER voted to raise taxes. For over 30 years he's defended and acted on the beliefs our founding fathers put into place with our constitution. Now it is up us, WE THE PEOPLE to continue the fight for FREEDOM. RON PAUL 08!

I'm glad that Huckabee is stopping in Wichita tomorrow. He's the only conservative with any sense left in the race. McCain has proven that he is a flip-flopper. Not only has he voted to give illegal immigrants social security benifits but he also cosponsored a bill that limits Americans right to express their desires on issues to their reprsentatives in Washington. He also said that he would not overturn Roe v. Wade and then when he decided to run for office said he changed his mind. With a record like that who knows what he might do. Mike Huckabee is the only candidate who can pull the Republican party together. He has a consistent stand on the issues that matter most and has ideas that will work for America. As a young voter, it greatly concerns me the way this nation is going, but with Mike Huckabee as president, I believe that true change is possible.

Why no mention of Ron Paul's planned visit. He's a legitimate candidate and you show your bias by not announcing his visit, as well as the other two you did cover. Ron Paul in Kansas 6:00 PM Event at the Best Western Airport Inn out at 6815 W Kellogg Drive. So, the most conservative candidate will be in town too and deserves to have people told. (Editors note: Ron Paul will not be coming to Kansas. His son is making an appearance at this event, which KAKE News publicized several times throughout the day.)

I am happy that Kansas is finally important to both parties and the national exposure they will give Kansas. As a Romney supporter I am stuck on who I will vote for on Saturday.

A sign wave at Kellogg @ Ellis walkover! When: Friday Time: 4:00 to 6:00 pm. (or stay later if you want) Huckabee is gaining ground and surprising many... Let's help Wichita's confidence in him and get his name out in front of folks before the caucus Saturday. If you have signs... bring 'em. If you have extras that would be great for folks that do not have them. Home made ones are great also! We are planning more activities soon!!! I am excited... let's get Wichita excited too! http://www.myspace.com/kansasforhuckabee2008
