More Republican primaries are on the way this week and next, but John McCain has already staked his claim as the party's clear favorite.
Kansas Republicans will hold a caucus on Saturday morning. Click the link below this article for more information on caucus locations and Q&A.
McCain rounded up more delegates than his two rivals combined in
yesterday's Super Tuesday contests.
With victories from New York to California, McCain now has 613
delegates, at the latest count, more than half the number needed to
clinch the nomination. Mitt Romney has 269 delegates and Mike
Huckabee 190.
Nine of yesterday's Republican contests were winner-take-all, and that's where McCain piled up his lead.
Still, Romney and Huckabee vow to keep fighting. Romney's wins
included his home state of Massachusetts and also Utah, where he
was supported by fellow Mormons. Huckabee found support among Bible Belt states, and tells CBS' "The Early Show" that he still wants
to be "the irresistible choice" for president.
Republicans will vote in Louisiana, Washington state and Kansas
on Saturday, and in D.C., Maryland and Virginia on Tuesday.
